Illinois DOR Publishes Updated Motor Fuel Use Tax Rates

The Illinois Department of Revenue (DOR) published an Informational Bulletin announcing updated Motor Fuel Use Tax rates for International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) licensees effective July 1, through Dec. 31. The combined tax rates, consisting of Part A and Part B components, will be 75.1 cents per gallon for diesel, 66.6 cents per gallon for gasoline, and varying rates for alternative fuels including 73.3 cents per diesel gallon equivalent for liquefied petroleum gas, 71.5 cents per diesel gallon equivalent for liquefied natural gas, and 61.1 cents per gasoline gallon equivalent for compressed natural gas.
