The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) Sept. 1 issued a departmental notice regarding electronic filing and payment mandates for individual income, corporate income, sales and use, and excise tax purposes. The notice provides information on: 1) forms that must be filed electronically; 2) tax practitioners’ mandate to file individual income tax returns electronically; 3) business taxpayers’ obligation to file and remit sales and withholding taxes electronically; 4) exception policies; and 5) the DOR’s free online filing and payment portal.
