The Indiana Department of Revenue Feb. 9 issued guidance on how to file your taxes and what forms to use for individual income tax purposes. The guidance includes that: 1) Form IT-40 is for full-year residents; 2) Form IT-40PNR is for part and full-year nonresidents; 3) Form IT-40RNR is for full-year residents of Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, or Wisconsin who received only wages, salaries, tips, or other compensation from Indiana; 4) Form IT-40PNR is for taxpayers with other Indiana-source income; and 5) e-filing allows taxpayers to file taxes online at their convenience and speeds up refunds while reducing errors.
