Indiana DOR Issues Information on Unified Tax Credit for Elderly

The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) Jan. 24 issued information on Indiana’s unified tax credit for the elderly, which allows eligible taxpayers to get an individual income tax refund by filing Form SC-40. Taxpayers can claim the credit only once a year, and must file the form on or before July 1. The credit ranges from $40 to $140, depending on the income level and filing status.
