The Indiana Department Revenue (DOR) issued a letter of findings sustaining taxpayers protest against additional income tax assessment. Taxpayers are Indiana residents and jointly filed income tax for tax year 2020. DOR audited taxpayers and assessed additional income tax on their returns stating that there was a discrepancy between taxpayers’ federally reported adjusted gross income and their adjusted gross income as reported to Indiana. After examining evidence submitted by the parties, DOR held that there was an error on taxpayers Form 1099-R that caused the discrepancy. [Ind.
