The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) issued a ruling regarding taxpayers’ protest against the proposed assessment of additional income tax for 2022. Taxpayers are a married couple who jointly filed their 2022 Indiana Full-Year Resident Individual Income Tax Return (“IT-40”). The Department adjusted the return and issued a Notice of Proposed Assessment, citing income that was reported to the Department but not included in the couple’s tax return.
