The Treasury Department and IRS Friday released an interim final rule and a proposed rule that reduce the fee for requesting an estate tax closing letter to $56 from $67.
The text of the interim final regulations (TD 10031, RIN 1545-BR28) also serves as the text of the proposed regulations (REG 107459-2, RIN 1545-BR22).
