The Kansas Department of Revenue (DOR) published a notice announcing a new sales tax exemption for certain disabled veterans that will take effect on July 1. The new sales tax exemption applies to all purchases of tangible personal property and services made by a qualified veteran, excluding motor vehicles, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, electronic cigarettes, and consumable material for electronic cigarettes.
