Kansas DOR Issues Information on Exempt Sales of Gold, Silver Coins, Palladium, Platinum Bullion

The Kansas Department of Revenue July 1 issued a notice exempting sales of gold or silver coins and palladium, platinum, gold, or silver bullion from sales and use taxes, effective July 1. During the 2019 Legislative Session House Bill 2140 was passed, which amended Kan. Stat. Ann. Section 79-3606. The new subsection provides an exemption for all sales of gold or silver coins and palladium, platinum, gold or silver bullion.
