The Kansas Department of Revenue (DOR) Dec. 28, 2023 issued information on the new procedure for filing a tax warrant release, for individual income, corporate income, trust income, sales and use, and excise tax purposes. According to H.B. 2022, effective Jan. 1, if a tax warrant is issued against a taxpayer, the DOR will handle the release of the warrant upon payment of the taxes owed.
