Kansas Governor Sets June 18 Session to Work Out Tax Cuts

Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly called lawmakers for a special session starting June 18 to resolve differences with her over tax relief provisions, following her vetoes of three tax-cut packages earlier this year.

In a Wednesday announcement, the Democratic governor said she was looking for “bipartisan collaboration on comprehensive tax relief that does not threaten Kansas’ solid fiscal foundation.”
