Kansas Requires Property Appraisal Adjustments for 5 Percent Value Increase

The Kansas Governor signed a law requiring county appraisers to either adjust property values based on prior appeal information or obtain an independent fee-simple appraisal when valuations exceed a 5 percent annual increase for properties that have received reduced valuations through the appeals process.
