The Kentucky Department of Revenue Sept. 1 issued information on the motor vehicle property tax rates. The publication provides information on the 2023 and 2022 ad valorem property tax rates for local governmental units in the state, encompassing county, city, school, and special district levies. It provides that non-historic motor vehicles are subject to both state and local taxation, whereas historic motor vehicles are only subject to state taxation.
