Kentucky distilleries and breweries may qualify for a sales tax break on new equipment in taprooms under a vetoed provision that both chambers of the General Assembly overrode Wednesday.
The “new and expanded industry credit” exemption for distilleries and breweries was one of many provisions Gov. Andy Beshear (D) stripped from House Bill 351 with a line-item veto on Monday. The House overrode the veto 57-to-32, the Senate overrode the veto 24-to-9.
