Louisiana Expands High-Net-Worth Interdict Donation, Aligns with Federal Transfer Tax

The Louisiana Governor signed a law permitting court-approved donations by curators on behalf of interdicts with at least $100 million in net worth. The law allows curators to utilize federal gift tax exclusions and estate tax exemptions and limits forced heirship rights for certain disabled heirs with substantial wealth.
