The Louisiana Governor June 12 signed a law authorizing East Baton Rouge to rebate sales and use tax revenue collected on admission tickets to certain events. The law includes measures: 1) specifying that the governing authority of Baton Rouge and East Baton Rouge Parish is authorized to rebate sales and use taxes on admission tickets to events held in publicly-owned facilities with a seating capacity of at least 7,500 or multiday events with an average daily attendance of at least 7,500; and 2) specifying that the governing authority cannot rebate the sales and use taxes unless Visit Baton Rouge recommends ...
