The Louisiana Governor Dec. 4 signed a law concerning property tax. The law provides homestead exemption, special assessment level, and other property tax exemptions to determine ad valorem taxation of specific properties. The law takes effect when the proposed amendment of Article VII of the Constitution of Louisiana is adopted at a statewide election and becomes effective. [H.B. 11, enacted 12/04/24]
