The Louisiana Governor signed a law that includes: 1) requiring that the board of commissioners provide written notice to each member of the Acadiana Regional Juvenile Justice District at least 30 days prior to the date of any meeting at which the board may consider and take action on a matter relative to the levying of taxes, incurrence of debts, or issuance of bonds; and 2) requiring that any action or resolution that authorizes the levy of a tax be approved by every board member and be subsequently approved by the governing authority of each of the parishes that comprise ...
