Maine Excludes Data Centers From Business Equipment Property Tax Exemption

The Maine Governor signed a law that includes excluding data centers that begin operations on or after Aug. 1 from: 1) the business equipment property tax exemption; and 2) the Dirigo Business Incentive Program. The law takes effect 90 days after the end of the legislative session. [L.D. 713, enacted 04/23/26]
