Maine Revenue Services Proposes to Amend Regulation on Corporate Income Tax Nexus

The Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Maine Revenue Services Feb. 22 proposed to amend a regulation on corporate income tax nexus. The proposal includes measures to: 1) define an out-of-state supplier of spirits; 2) specify that for taxable years beginning on or after Jan. 1, 2022, a corporation that is an out-of-state supplier of spirits sold to the Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages and Lottery Operations (BABLO) within the Department of Administrative and Financial Services (including a contractor or agent of BABLO) may not be considered to have sufficient nexus, and is not subject to Maine corporate income tax, if ...
