Mamdani Critic Sandler Says He’ll Keep Hedge Fund in NYC for Now

Hedge fund manager Ricky Sandler, who threatened to move his $8 billion firm out of New York if Zohran Mamdani became mayor, is staying — for now.

“I am not planning to move Eminence Capital to another city or state. At least not yet,” the investor said late Wednesday in a post on X. “But the next Mayor should understand that technology gives its residents and businesses options to move.”
