Maryland Authorizes Property Tax Exemption for Baltimore City Economic Development Projects

The Maryland Governor signed a law authorizing a property tax exemption for economic development projects in Baltimore City’s Downtown RISE District. The law provides real property tax exemptions for qualifying commercial or multifamily residential projects that demonstrate financial necessity and enter into PILOT agreements with the Baltimore City Board of Estimates.
