The Maryland Comptroller has announced the opening of the 2025 tax season. The Comptroller clarified that this will be the final tax season using the current COBEL-based processing system. A new Maryland Tax Connect system for personal income tax filing is expected to be launched next year, ahead of the 2026 tax season. Taxpayers are encouraged to file their taxes electronically. [Md.
