Maryland Governor Signs Law Requiring Department of Assessments and Taxation to Convene Task Force

The Maryland Governor April 13 signed a law requiring the Department of Assessments and Taxation to convene a task force for studying and making recommendations on the adoption of a unique Maryland Identification Number for each registered or licensed business in the state for being used by certain state agencies for property tax purposes.
