Maryland Increases Property Tax Exemption for Blind Individuals, Surviving Spouses

The Maryland Governor signed a law concerning property tax exemptions for blind individuals. The law includes increasing from $15,000 to $40,000 the assessed value property tax exemption from state and local property taxes for a dwelling house owned by a blind individual or a surviving spouse.
