Maryland Requires Taxpayer Notice of Property Tax Payment Plans

The Maryland Governor signed a law concerning notices to taxpayers of property tax payment plans. The law includes: 1) a separate property tax bill insert that includes a statement that a taxpayer may be eligible to enroll in an installment payment plan if the taxpayer would like to pay their property taxes in monthly installments; and 2) providing that the insert include a concise description of the installment program, or any local installment payment program, and instructions on how to enroll in the installment program, or any local installment payment program.
