The Massachusetts Department of Revenue (DOR) Nov. 5 announced that preliminary revenue collections for October 2024 totaled $2.685 billion, which is 4.9 percent higher than October 2023 but 3.1 percent below the benchmark. Collections were driven by increases in withholding, non-withheld income tax, and corporate and business tax, partially offset by a decrease in sales and use tax. [Mass.
