Massachusetts DOR Issues Bulletin to Assessors on New Gas, Electric Personal Property Tax Return Forms

The Massachusetts Department of Revenue (DOR) Dec. 4 issued a bulletin to boards of assessors describing two new optional personal property tax returns approved by the Commissioner of Revenue. The DOR stated that the optional returns, State Tax Form (STF) 2-504-G (for gas companies) and STF 2-504-E (for electric companies) are for legal entities in the business of providing transmission and distribution of gas or electricity.
