The Massachusetts Department of Revenue (DOR) Feb. 3 issued a Technical Information Release, announcing the 2025 penalty schedule for individuals who fail to comply with the health insurance mandate under the Massachusetts Health Care Reform Act. The penalties, imposed through the individual’s tax return, will not exceed 50 percent of the minimum monthly insurance premium the individual would have qualified for through the Health Connector.
