Massachusetts Governor Announces Snyder as New Commissioner of DOR

The Massachusetts Governor March 24 announced Geoffrey Snyder as the new Commissioner of the Department of Revenue (DOR). The DOR manages individual income, corporate income, trust income, property, excise, estate, and sales and use taxes for the state. Snyder’s effective start date is March 30. Snyder holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University. Snyder served at the DOR from 2016 through 2019, and was responsible for providing executive oversight of the finance, HR, internal affairs, facilities management, labor and union relations, internal audit, and risk management functions.
