Michigan Treasury Announces New Form 5081 EZ, Sales, Use, Withholding Tax EZ Annual Return

The Michigan Department of Treasury (DOT) Jan. 24 announced the availability of an easy option for business taxpayers to file sales, use, and withholding (SUW) annual tax returns. Beginning with January, taxpayers with less than $10 million in gross receipts and no allowable deductions or exemptions can file Form 5081 EZ, the new SUW EZ annual return. The DOT encourages taxpayers meeting these criteria to take advantage of this paperless option that requires less taxpayer information.
