Minnesota DOR Announces Availability of Electronic Appeals Option

The Minnesota Department of Revenue (DOR) Sept. 9 announced that an electronic appeal option for some letters is available now for individual income, corporate income, sales and use, excise, property, trust income, and estate tax purposes. The DOR includes that: 1) the instructions for appealing electronically will be included with any eligible letter; 2) tax professionals must have an eligible power of attorney on file when completing the online appeal; and 3) tax professionals need to use their name in the signature field and enter the email address where they want the confirmation sent.
