The Minnesota Department of Revenue (DOR) announced that distributors must include a $0.02 per gallon Petroleum Tank Cleanup Fee when filing returns for September through December 2025. The Petroleum Debt Service Surcharge Rate will remain at $0.035 per gallon from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. The announcement also includes that effective Jan. 1, 2026, the Minnesota Motor Fuel Tax will increase to $0.326 per gallon, and the qualifying service station credit rates for North Dakota and South Dakota will change.
