Mississippi DOR Adopted Amendments to Sale, Use Tax Rules Concerning Food, Beverages

The Mississippi Department of Revenue (DOR) July 8 adopted a regulation concerning food and beverages for sales and use tax purposes. The rules include information regarding the new five percent 5 percent sales tax rate on groceries added by HB 1 from the 2025 Regular Session, with minor changes. The regulations took effect July 8.
