Mississippi DOR Issues FAQs Concerning Individual Income Tax Rates, Returns, Refund Request Filing Requirements

The Mississippi Department of Revenue April 1 issued frequently asked questions (FAQs) concerning individual income taxes. The FAQs include information on: 1) the documents required by a deceased taxpayer’s survivor or representative to cash a refund check issued to the deceased taxpayer; 2) the income tax return and refund request filing requirements for someone filing on behalf of a decedent; 3) the state income tax rates; 4) the tax return filing requirements for taxpayers living and working on a reservation; and 5) estimated tax payment due dates.
