Mississippi DOR Issues Information on Excise Tax Rates for Cigarette, Other Tobacco Products

The Mississippi Department of Revenue (DOR) June 1 issued information on the excise tax rates for cigarettes and other tobacco products. The information includes: 1) an excise tax rate of 3.4 cents per cigarette; 2) an excise tax rate of 15 percent for other tobacco products; 3) tobacco permit requirements and fees; and 4) due dates for returns and payments.
