Mississippi DOR Proposes Amendments to Alcohol Beverage Rules

The Mississippi Department of Revenue (DOR) has proposed amendments to regulations regarding permit transfer of alcoholic beverages. The regulations stipulate that no permit can be transferred without written consent from DOR and outline requirements for public notice of transfers, age and residency requirements for permit applicants, and considerations for felony convictions. The regulations also address exemptions from distance requirements for certain permit transfers. Comments on the proposed rule are due Jan. 25. [Miss. Dep’t of Revenue, Proposed Reg.
