Mississippi DOR Publishes Notice of Fair Market Values for Cannabis Excise Tax

The Mississippi Department of Revenue (DOR) published a notice announcing the fair market values for cannabis excise tax, effective Jan. 1 to June 30, 2026. The notice states that medical cannabis cultivators are subject to a 5 percent excise tax on the first sale or transfer of cannabis flower or cannabis trim to a medical cannabis establishment. For cannabis flowers sold to common interest establishments, the fair market value is $1,673 per lb, while for cannabis trim sold to common interest establishments, the fair market value is $57 per lb.
