Mississippi Lawmakers Agree to Largest Tax Cut in State History

Mississippi lawmakers agreed Sunday on a deal for $525 million annually in tax cuts, setting the state on a path to eventually phase out its personal income tax.

Now it’s up to Gov. Tate Reeves (R) to make good on his boast that he’s “prepared to do whatever it takes to eliminate the income tax in Mississippi.”
