Missouri Commercial Property Owners’ Tax Win Reversed on Appeal

A proposed class of commercial property owners lost their bid to have their tax assessments reduced after a Missouri appeals court Friday found they failed to provide enough evidence to support their discrimination claims.

The Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District, revived the Missouri State Tax Commission’s ruling that more than 2,600 taxpayers failed to show that the 2017 St. Louis County assessments of their property were grossly excessive compared to similar properties.
