Missouri Tax Commission Sets Aside Board’s Property Tax Decision

Sept. 23, 2025, 9:59 PM UTC

The Missouri State Tax Commission set aside the Board of Equalization’s decision and reduced the property tax value of the property for 2023. The Tax Commission found that the county assessing officials failed to comply with an order setting a ceiling on 2023 valuations, and that the taxpayer waived the right to present evidence of claims based upon grounds other than overvaluation.
