Moore Capital Joins March to Florida With New Office in Miami

Louis Bacon’s Moore Capital Management plans to expand its footprint in Miami with a new office -- the latest in a growing trend of money managers creating outposts in Florida.

The new location will accommodate more than two dozen employees, according to a person familiar with the matter. Jacqueline Knific, who recruits portfolio managers as head of business development, will move there from London. Elliot Wittlin, a credit portfolio manager, will relocate from New York.

A spokesman for the New York-based firm declined to comment.
