The number of tech companies paying digital services taxes in the UK has been steadily increasing over the years, even as pressure from the US to drop the tax continues to mount.
DSTs brought the UK £2.5 billion ($3.4 billion) from January 2021 to May 28 this year, according to information His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs provided to Bloomberg Tax through a Freedom of Information Act request.
