The Nebraska Governor signed a law concerning the state sales tax rate, the Good Life Transformational Projects Act, and the Good Life District Economic Development Act. The law includes: 1) providing from July 1 to Oct. 1, transactions in all Good Life Districts (GLD) within a city will have a state sales tax rate of 2.75 percent; 2) setting the state sales tax rate at 5.5 percent beginning Oct. 1; and 3) removing an option for a city to impose a second local option sales tax within a GLD.
