The Nebraska Department of Revenue (DOR) published updated local sales and use tax rates for two localities. Effective July 1, the city of Edgar will increase its local sales and use tax rate to 1.5 percent from 1 percent. For the lodging tax, the county of Blaine will terminate its 2 percent county lodging rate, while hotels in the county will continue to collect the 1 percent state lodging tax rate. [Neb.
