Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino’s expected final film and an unnamed Netflix project are the biggest winners in the latest round of $77.8 million in tax credit awards from the California Film Commission.
The Tarantino and Netflix productions and a third, titled “Under My Skin,” all received $20 million, the commission announced Friday. Another 13 films, identified as independent, won awards ranging from $646,000 to $2.5 million for committing to shoot in California despite ongoing strikes by actors and writers.
