Nevada Governor Signs Law Authorizing Tax Department to Send Electronic Notices, Revises Abatement Procedures

The Nevada Governor signed a law authorizing the Department of Taxation to send notices electronically and revise abatement procedures. The law also includes: 1) changing the due date for sales and use taxes to the 20th day of the month after the taxes were imposed; and 2) authorizing partial tax abatements for businesses that recycle materials or produce fuels from recycled materials.
