The Nevada Governor June 8 signed a law revising provisions concerning gaming licenses and fees, for excise tax purposes. The law includes measures: 1) establishing procedures for Gaming Control Board recommendations and Gaming Commission approvals of a game or gambling game; 2) requiring the commission to make a final disposition regarding the approval or disapproval of a game or gambling game within 60 days after the issuance of the recommendation by the board; and 3) removing the $1,000 cap on the fee charged for applications or renewals of registration for a manufacturer or distributor of associated equipment.
