The Nevada Tax Commission proposed revisions to regulations governing cigarettes and other tobacco products. The proposed regulations establish new procedures for contested cases involving tobacco licensees and manufacturers, including requirements for pleadings, subpoenas, evidentiary standards, and appeals to the Commission. The regulations also eliminate existing procedures that allowed Indian tribes to apply for refunds of precollected state taxes on cigarettes and tobacco products sold on reservations. [Nev. Tax Comm’n, Proposed Regs. NAC 370.010, .210, .220, et al., 05/21/26]
