The New Hampshire Governor July 1 signed a law concerning the eligibility for the low- and moderate-income homeowners’ property tax relief. The law includes measures: 1) amending claimant eligibility by increasing the total household income of a single person to $37,000 from $20,000 and that of a married person or head of household to $47,000 from $40,000; 2) requiring $220,000 to be multiplied by the most current local equalization ratio as determined by the Department of Revenue Administration for calculating the state education property tax rebates; and 3) amending the single person, head of a household, or married person and ...
